In 2001, Brianne Bustamante, started out with a desire to do makeup. When Brianne went to cosmetology school she fell in love with hair. There she met Trevor Tobin with Encounters Salon and Day Spa and started apprenticing in 2002. Encounters offered many opportunities for education. Mainly with Redken educators such as Sam Villa, Eric Fisher, Beth Minardi and many more. Brianne then went on to become a Redken specialist & also took the opportunity to take color classes in New York with Jo Blackwell-Preston. In 2005, Brianne started Blush Company with her best friend, Tracy Bustamante. Their focus with Blush was to offer hair and make up for brides onsite. A beauty catering company for special occasions. Blush was named The Best of Wedding for the Knot in 2010 and 2011. Blush was also chosen to work with David Tutera on My Fair Wedding for the Make a Wish Bride episode in 2011. In 2006, she was certified with Novalash as an eyelash extensionist. In 2012, Brianne became a Surface educator. In 2017, Blush went through a rebranding. Brianne decided that the salon was evolving and needed to define it. So she chose “tālem” which means Empower in Latin. Since then, Brianne has been focusing her energy behind the chair. Currently, she is learning the delicate balance of being behind the chair 3 days a week and running a growing and thriving salon of 9 (with hopes of 28 someday!). Brianne’s passions are her 3 wonderful children and the salon industry. Brianne is inspired to create a green and low chemical environment for guests and staff alike!! “Beauty shouldn’t come at a cost”.

I am a second-generation stylist and lover of all things hair! I am a graduate of Paul Mitchell and I’m so excited to start welcoming new guests into my chair at tālem!
I’m passionate about perfecting my craft for lived-in blondes, dimensional colors, curly hair, and styling! I want every guest who leaves my chair to feel like the best version of themselves and love their look! I really like to educate my guests to make sure they feel confident in using the right products for them. I work hard so that every guest feels special and loved when they are here!
When I’m not at the salon, I enjoy spending my time with family, friends, and my two kitties (Willy and Nilly). I come from a big family, so I get to be “Aunt Blair” (and sometimes “Aunt Hair”) to 12 of the cutest kiddos ever! I like to spend my free time watching movies, playing board games, and trying out new recipes.
I am dedicated to improving and continuing to learn, and I enjoy the challenge of trying new things! I can’t wait for us to make you feel as beautiful as you already are!

I am a recent Z Hair Academy graduate and second-generation stylist! I strive to exceed client satisfaction and beauty expectations. I love making people look and feel incredible! I have a passion for creative color, Brazilian blowouts, balayaging, cut and design, and skincare/cosmetics! I have achieved Top 20 Club, Level 4 Stylist, and Tape-In Extension Certification among other great accomplishments at Z Hair Academy.
Outside of the salon, I enjoy spending time with my family and animals! I love being outdoors, riding my bike, and creating new goals for myself! I believe in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, mind, and soul. This allows me to always see the positive in every situation. Growth is a major aspect of success.
As a new stylist, I bring positivity everywhere I go, always active listening, and am extremely motivated. I believe it is important to work in a salon that provides quality products and services! Talem provides the liquid magic and team support to deliver excellent results!
My main goal behind the chair is to deliver a 5-star experience for every client every visit! I look forward to building and growing as a stylist and as a team!

“When I’m not at the salon I enjoy cooking and trying new things! I love laughing and spending time with my friends and being outside. I enjoy dancing although I’m far from joining Dancing with the Stars 🙂 I also love traveling and will take advantage of seeing new places when I get the chance. I am all about good energy and positive vibes!”

Doug comes to us from Paul Mitchell The School in Overland Park. They are incredibly passionate about helping people feel their most beautiful, whether that involves a new color, a fun cut, or just some time set aside to be pampered! They love the connection made between a stylist and their client and immensely enjoys each conversation they have with people in their chair.
Doug’s truest love when it comes to hair is all things curly. If they could have all day filled with curly hair, it would be their paradise! They understand that curly-haired people can struggle to find a stylist to work with their hair type, so they have put in the work to make sure those people can feel at home in their chair.
“My main goal is to give each person the exact experience they are looking for, so they can leave with a smile on their face!”
